Purpose, Vision & Mission

Purpose

At LMS, we believe that planning and implementing lessons that  engage students in standards-aligned data-driven instruction will result in an increase in student achievement, reduce classroom management concerns, and improve the student experience through engagement.

We utilize collaborative planning to maximize the use of district and state resources to align instruction to the level of rigor of the standard.

We believe that implementing the lessons at the level of rigor of the standard as planned with opportunities for students to be active participants in learning creates the conditions for student engagement and will maximize student achievement.

We further believe that exhibiting respect, a sense of community, and high expectations creates opportunities for students to be courageous leaders in a global society.

The vision of Luella Middle School is to empower every scholar through opportunities and access to be courageous and successful in life.  

The mission of LMS is to always do what is best for students through high expectations, respect, high quality instruction and creating a sense of community.
